About Rebellin

Welcome to the place where rebels gather.  OK, there really isn’t anything rebellious about this blog, but there is the irony.  Rebellin is actually a play off of my last name.  My name is Lynnette, and I have been blogging since February 2002.  My first blog was manually edited in Frontpage, so those entries live only on my computer.  I started blogging as a way to enhance my web skills, but found it was an excellent outlet for the unpublished writer in me.  You can read my online archives dating back to 2003.  The picture to the right is my “professional headshot”, though one friend said she thought it looked like I was selling real estate.  Too bad the checkered suit is already dated.

I am a married mother of two beautiful children.  I work full time, and I write about my daily life here.  This blog has evolved to update family and friends on our life, which may seem boring to some people.  But let me tell you, it keeps the grandparents happy!

I live in Reno, Nevada, and work for the largest software company in the world.  I love to experience the outdoor adventures in our area, including skiing, hiking, camping, and open water swimming.

I learn every day from my children, Little Miss (4) and Little Man (9 months).  My life is a blur of tantrums, dress up, time outs, baby wearing, spit up, dancing, kisses, raspberries and giggles, mixed with days of sitting in front of a computer talking to people from all across the world.

Being a working mother has its unique challenges, including juggling work responsibilities, a sick kid getting kicked out of daycare, and dealing with daycare in general.   I explore thoughts on being a working mother here.  I fully respect stay-at-home-moms (SAHM), and realize they have challenges of their own.  I can only write from my perspective, so please don’t think this blog has anything to do with the Mommy Wars between working moms and SAHM.
